چکیده

This paper presents a new technique based on adaptive code-to-user allocation for interference management on the downlink of BPSK based MC-CDMA systems. The principle of the proposed technique is to exploit the dependency of multiple access interference on the instantaneous symbol values of the active users. The objective is to adaptively allocate the available spreading sequences to users on a symbol-by-symbol basis to optimize the decision variables at the downlink receivers. The resulting SINR improvement happens by making use of the energy that is already in the system so the performance benefit is attained with no additional power-per-user investment. The presented simulations show a significant BER performance improvement with the proposed technique while the adaptation overhead is kept less than 10% of the available bandwidth.

Spreading sequences for uplink and downlink MC-CDMA systems: PAPR and MAI minimization

This paper deals with spreading sequences selection for downlink and uplink Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) systems with the aim of minimizing the dynamic range of the transmitted multicarrier signal envelope and the multiple access interference. The crest factor of orthogonal and non-orthogonal sequences are compared analytically and by simulation for downlink and uplink ...

Efficient Resource Allocation in Mc-cdma Cellular Wireless Networks to Support Multimedia Traffic

The Multi Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) system with time division duplex mode, adopting unbalanced slot allocation between uplink and downlink, is a good solution for asymmetric multimedia traffic. A centralized common slot allocation to minimize inter-cell interference is not feasible as neighboring cells may carry different rates of traffic load. In this paper, we investigat...

[Poster Presentation]Optimum Number of Transmit Antennas for STTD in MC-CDMA Distributed Antenna Network

Abstract Distributed antenna network (DAN) can mitigate the problems arising from of the propagation path loss and shadowing loss and achieve better transmission performance over the entire cell area compared to centralized antenna network (CAN). Many transmit antennas are spatially distributed in DAN while they are co-located at the same base station in CAN. The use of space time block coded t...
